Quiet people give excellent talks

Most public speaking advice is written by extroverts for extroverts: be energetic, work the room, improvise. For many of us that advice makes things worse. We prepare more than anyone, then freeze, then conclude we are 'just not presenters'.

This course starts from a different assumption: that thoughtful people have an advantage once they have a structure to lean on and a way to manage the first ninety seconds of nerves.

You will build and deliver two short talks during the course, in your own time, and get a method you can reuse for every meeting update, pitch or toast.

What you will be able to do

  • Structure any talk in 15 minutes

One template for updates, pitches and presentations.

  • Open without reading from a script

A memorised first minute that carries you through the nerves.

  • Handle questions you did not expect

Three honest responses that buy thinking time.

  • Use slides as support, not a crutch

    Fewer words, clearer story.

  • Speak up in meetings earlier

A small habit with a large effect on how you are heard.

  • Recover when something goes wrong

    Because something always does.

Preparation that fits how introverts think

Introverts tend to think before speaking and to prefer depth over breadth. The course turns that into a preparation routine: decide the one thing the audience should remember, build the talk backwards from it, and rehearse out loud in short bursts.

The result is a talk you know so well that nerves have less to grab on to.

Your first steps

You start with “Week 1 — Message and structure”. It covers: The one thing they should remember; Backwards outlining; The update, the pitch, the presentation: one template. Nothing in it assumes knowledge from later parts of the course, so you can begin the day you enrol.

By the end of that first part you will already have done something concrete rather than only watched — and you will know whether the pace suits you. If it does not, the 14-day guarantee means you lose nothing.

Every drill can be done alone with a phone camera — no audience required until you want one.

Is this course for you?

This course is for you if…

  • You avoid presenting even when it would help your career
  • You over-prepare and still feel out of control once you start
  • You want to be heard in meetings without changing your personality
  • You have a talk, pitch or wedding speech coming up

Probably not a fit if…

  • You are looking for stand-up comedy or stage performance training
  • You want media training for TV interviews
  • You need clinical help with severe anxiety — this is a skills course, not therapy

Why learn this in a structured course

Most speaking advice is personality advice in disguise. A structured course gives you a method that works regardless of temperament — structure, a memorised opening, drills — and lets you practise in private before anyone is watching.

Short recorded drills mean you can rehearse on your own schedule, as many times as you need, with a phone camera as your only audience.

What learners say

“The memorised first minute changed everything. Once I am through it, I am fine.”
Jonas W. · Backend developer (example)
“Finally advice that does not start with 'just be confident'.”
Priya S. · Research scientist (example)
